If you have something dried onto the carpet take a hard blunt object like a spoon and scrape it off. If anything remains dampen the carpet with warm water and scrape off the remaining with the spoon.

Yes. Frieze is good for pets in that it is multi-color and hides fur and wears well. If maintained properly it is average or below average for a high volume area. Beber carpet would be the best for a high traffic area. Also, fiber type can play a big role and nylon is a more durable fiber.
