Do You Make the Floors Yourself?
We are a retail store based in Dalton, Georgia. While we are in close proximity to many major manufacturers, we do not manufacture any flooring ourselves. We stock certain products in our warehouse in Dalton, Georgia, but many of our products are sent directly to you from the manufacturer.
Do You Accept Returns?
Yes overall, we accept returns for most products (as long as they are returned in the same condition it was shipped/picked up), but limitations and fees may apply. By industry standards, certain products CANNOT be returned. These include:
- Trim
- Molding
- Padding
- Underlayment
- Custom Products
- Custom Rugs
- Small Cuts (carpet and sheet vinyl less than full roll)
- Opened Boxes
- Roll Remnants/Scraps
- Any tavern or cabin-grade products
- Any final sale products
Return policies vary between manufacturers and product categories. Please see our complete return policy or consult with your salesperson for more information about our returns policy before purchasing.
Some manufacturers have a minimum return amount. This amount varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. However, for boxed goods, it is usually no less than five unopened boxes (with factory seal intact). For rolled goods, it is usually the full, uncut and unaltered roll. Roll sizes vary, so be sure to consult with your salesperson as to what is considered the full roll amount. Any carpet or sheet vinyl order less than the full roll cannot be returned.

What if I Received the Wrong or Defective Product?
If you have received the wrong product, you can file a claim at claims@georgiacarpet.com. You may be required to take photographs, or a representative from the manufacturer may come out to inspect the product. These claims are at the discretion of the manufacturer.
Do not throw away any damaged product - the damaged product may need to be inspected and/or returned.
What if the Product was Damaged in Shipping?
If a product was damaged in shipping, file a claim with us at claims@georgiacarpet.com. We will pass the claim along to the shipping company. Shipping damage claims are at the discretion of the shipping company.
If a product is damaged during shipping, ensure you have noted it on the shipping company’s signature page before you sign for delivery. Alternatively, you have the option to outright refuse delivery. If the delivery is accepted and damage is not noted, the shipping company can claim the damage happened after delivery.
Do not throw away any damaged product - the damaged product may need to be inspected and/or returned.
Who Do I Contact for Warranty Claims?
Industry standards require that warranty claims be filed through the dealer where the flooring was purchased. We are an authorized dealer, meaning we can handle any warranty questions or claims for the products purchased through us. For warranty claims, email us at claims@georgiacarpet.com.
All warranty claims are at the discretion of the manufacturer.

Absolutely! We ship to the contiguous United States!
Is There a Cost to Shipping?
Yes. The price of any flooring shipped to you or a terminal includes the cost of shipping and handling. With “free shipping” deals, the shipping cost is built into the product price. Flooring picked up in person at our warehouse includes no shipping or handling cost.

Will the Flooring Ship Directly to My House?
Flooring deliveries offer two options for shipping. You can have the flooring delivered directly to your home, or it can be delivered to a shipping terminal in your city for you to pick up. While you may be inclined to choose home delivery, we highly recommend terminal delivery. You can view our video shipping guide at the bottom of this page.
Consult with your sales representative to determine which delivery option is best for you.
What Does Home Delivery Mean?
Home delivery means the order is delivered directly to your home. This requires a large semi-truck to navigate to your home and is not recommended for places where a semi cannot easily access or exit from.
You must be present when the truck arrives, or the delivery will not be dropped off. You will be given a window of time in which you will be expected to remain at home. If you are not home upon arrival of the delivery vehicle, the flooring will not be delivered (most freight companies charge re-delivery fees if the receiver is not available during scheduled delivery).
The flooring will be delivered to the curb in front of your home. You will be required to move it into your home yourself.
You can view our video shipping guide at the bottom of this page.
Consult with your sales representative to determine which delivery option is best for you.
What Does Terminal Pickup Mean?
Terminal pickup requires you or your installer to drive to a shipping terminal of your choosing to retrieve your flooring. Terminal employees will be available to help load the flooring into your vehicle. You will have a pickup window, determined by the shipping company, of 2-4 business days to pick up your flooring.
You can view our video shipping guide at the bottom of this page.
Consult with your sales representative to determine which delivery option is best for you.
Where is the Terminal?
Where you live determines where your nearest terminal is. Most regions have at least one or two freight terminals. Major cities always have several. If you desire this delivery option, our salespeople will work with you to find a terminal near your home.
Do You Provide Installers?
We do not provide installation services. We may be able to recommend installers in your area, but they are third-party contractors without affiliation with Georgia Carpet Industries. You can also visit the International Certified Flooring Installers website, linked here, to find a manufacturer in your area.
What Happens if I Mismeasured?
It is very important to ensure you have measured correctly before ordering. We highly recommend hiring professionals to come and measure your space. As per industry standards, manufacturers will not accept returns of excess flooring.
Purchasing 10-20% more than necessary is recommended to ensure you have enough to cover the required space.
