There are two different types of solid bamboo flooring and these are Vertical and Horizontal. The difference between the two is simply construction methods. The horizontal solid bamboo flooring will typically by made by pressing 3 layers of bamboo together, while the vertical type will be a lot of thin strips pressed together vertically.

Solid bamboo flooring, despite what its construction method may seem like, is 100% bamboo flooring. Because it is technically a grass plant that grows long thin stalks, certain methods of construction had to be created to give it the strength and durability of hardwood flooring. Solid bamboo is highly fashionable and is incredibly resistant to water, unlike typical hardwood flooring. An excellent choice in any home!
