About Ryan:

Christopher “Ryan” Vaughn, born June 8, 1980, in Dalton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026.

Ryan was born and raised in Dalton, Georgia, where he graduated from Dalton High School, and went on to earn the roll of student president at Dalton State College. He later made his home in Rocky Face, Georgia, where he built a life marked by devotion, integrity, and uncommon kindness.

Ryan married Leia Andrews in 2009; Ryan was a devoted and loving husband, steadfast in his commitment to his family and generous in his care for those closest to him. Above all else, Ryan was most proud of his twin daughters, Hadley and Lily Vaughn. Being their father was the greatest joy of his life. He was a deeply involved and loving parent who delighted in watching his girls grow, learn, and play—especially cheering them on at their sporting events. His presence in their lives was constant, gentle, and unwavering.

He shared a lifelong bond with his father, Craig Vaughn, who raised him with steadfast love and strong values. Ryan worked alongside his father throughout his career, becoming an astute and trusted businessman. Known for his sincerity and calm composure, Ryan built lasting professional relationships rooted in respect rather than force.

Ryan deeply adored his paternal grandfather, Alvin “Papaw” Vaughn, with whom he shared a close and loving bond that remained a source of joy and grounding throughout his life.

Ryan was an extraordinarily kind man of rare character—gracious, thoughtful, and consistently gentle in spirit. He was never harsh or rude; his quiet strength and steady presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Leia Vaughn; his beloved daughters, Hadley and Lily; his father, Craig Vaughn; his sister, Jade Vaughn Soto; his mother, Kimberly Kinnamon; his brother, Tyson Lewallen; his sister, Paige Lewallen; his paternal grandfather, Alvin Vaughn; his parents-in-law, Ray and Nan Andrews; his sister-in-law, Courtney Andrews. As well as his adoring Nephew (Austin) and Nieces (Ivanah, Raylin & Stella). Ryan valued family and maintained several close, lifelong friendships. He leaves behind many beloved Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and true friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lois Vaughn, and his maternal grandparents, Betty and Ernest "Ish" Kinnamon.

Ryan’s life was a testament to the strength of gentleness, the power of integrity, and the lasting impact of quiet goodness. His legacy lives on through his daughters and in the many lives shaped by his kindness and steady love.
