COREtec Soft Step VV880 luxury vinyl plank flooring combines the flowing appearance of 7" × 60" wood-look planks with warmth, sound-dampening comfort, and waterproof WPC construction. Part of the COREtec Originals Premium collection, VV880 features a 20 mil wear layer and attached Soft Step underlayment made from recycled materials. It is a practical option for homeowners seeking realistic wood-inspired style with easy everyday care.
Imagine a restful bedroom with softer-sounding footsteps or a welcoming living room with a more comfortable feel underfoot. VV880’s five-foot plank format creates a longer visual line than a traditional 48-inch board, while enhanced integrated bevels define the individual planks. Explore these COREtec floors at Georgia Carpet Industries, an authorized COREtec dealer in Dalton, Georgia.
Soft Step is the pre-attached underlayment featured on select COREtec styles, including VV880. It adds warmth and helps reduce the sound of footsteps without using cork backing. The recycled-material benefit applies specifically to the Soft Step underlayment, not to the entire plank.
Sound and warmth figures are COREtec’s comparative Soft Step performance claims. Results in your home depend on the floor assembly and site conditions; sound-dampening flooring does not make a room silent.
VV880 pairs realistic wood visuals with a resilient surface designed for everyday life with children, pets, and foot traffic. Its 20 mil wear layer helps protect the decorative design, while the UV acrylic finish supports stain resistance and straightforward cleaning. Enhanced integrated bevels add definition to the 7-inch-wide planks.
The waterproof construction makes VV880 an option for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas when installed according to COREtec’s instructions. It is designed to resist everyday scratches, dents, and dings, but is not scratch-proof or dent-proof. Clean spills appropriately, use furniture protection, and follow the manufacturer’s care guidance.
VV880 is designed for floating installation. COREtec lists no acclimation period, but required site conditions, subfloor preparation, moisture evaluation, and expansion allowances still apply. Follow the VV880 installation instructions before beginning your project.
Waterproof planks do not correct subfloor moisture problems or protect the building from water intrusion. For routine maintenance, remove loose dirt and grit and use COREtec-approved cleaning products and methods. The UV acrylic surface does not require sanding or refinishing.
COREtec Originals Premium Soft Step VV880 includes a Lifetime Residential Limited Wear Warranty and a Resilient WPC 10 Year Medium Commercial Limited Warranty, the same warranty coverage as VV810. These warranties are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their applicable terms, exclusions, installation requirements, and care instructions.
COREtec’s 100% waterproof, kidproof, petproof guarantee is also subject to the applicable manufacturer terms. Review the relevant warranty documents for your intended use before ordering.
