EPIC Hardwood Advantages

Temperature and Humidity Tolerant - Epic Hardwood is well suited for North American climates

3/8" - Epic Hardwood can replace conventional engineered flooring.

EnviroCore - Epic Hardwood uses Shaw's high density inner core, which has distinct advantages over conventional plywood cores and uses fewer trees with less waste. EnviroCare is produced with densely compressed wood fibers which are fusion bonded in a non-directional construction that provides great dimensionally stability. The end result is a core with unsurpassed structural integrity, impact resistance and moisture tolerance.

Made In USA - Means faster production and better service creating more domestic jobs. Because Shaw also controls all manufacturing steps, they can consistently enforce rigid quality control procedures.

Zero Acclimation Required - When site conditions are climate controlled prior to installation and during installation. This means the product can be installed faster and more efficiently than conventional alternatives.

Longer Average Lengths - Provides a better visual on the floor and hastens the speed of installation.

Tight Milling Tolerance - provides optimum fit and finish of tongue and groove. Because core is homogenous, planks lay flatter and stay straighter with minimum bowing or twisting. It also delivers a very smooth tongue and groove which minimizes the chance of splinters.

Premium Surface Veneers - may be sanded and refinished if a color change is desired.

Installation - Products can be nailed, glued or floated (5" only) over concrete or wood subfloors.

DuraShield™ Finish - provides superior durability with excellent stain resistance.
