Bamboo Flooring

A Bamboo floor is a type of flooring that is manufactured from the bamboo plant. The majority of bamboo flooring originates from China and other portions of Asia. Moso Bamboo is the species most commonly used in flooring.

Bamboo is an attractive alternative for flooring because of its physical similarities to hardwoods. Floor manufacturers and sellers promote its strength and durability as well as its resistance to insects and moisture. It is also very Eco-Friendly. The hardness of bamboo ranges from 1180 for carbonized horizontal to 1380 for natural using the Janka Hardness Scale.
