Exotic Hardwood is beautiful hardwood that is made from trees around the world.

Exotic hardwoods are more common in other places of the world, in fact a hardwood specie is considered exotic if it originates anywhere out of North America. These are generally slightly more expensive than that of Domestic hardwood species, because of their natural coloration and grain pattern. They tend to score higher on the Janka Hardness Scale however some are a bit too hard for installation and may require pre-drilled holes for nailing to the subfloor. Some common Exotic Hardwood Species are: Brazilian Cherry, Brazilian Walnut, Tigerwood, Amendoim, Santos Mahogany, and Kempas.
