Loading... Please wait...Nylon is one of the most popular fibers used in manufacturing carpet. In fact, about half of the carpet industries products have nylon fibers. This is because it is a resilient fiber. Resilient means that when you step on it, it pops back into place. It is resistant to staining, soil, moisture, mildew, fading, crushing and even sun damage. Nylon carpet typically comes in continuous or spun fibers, which are simply short lengths of fiber that are spun together making it less likely to unravel.
Nylon carpet comes in two forms: Nylon 6,6 and Nylon 6, although the fiber itself is being continuously enhanced due to modern technologies. In fact there have been 5 different generations of this amazing fiber, each getting better as time progressed. All and all Nylon is an excellent fiber and we would recommend it to any customer looking for a resilient and highly resistant flooring solution.
