Minimum advertised pricing (MAP)

   Minimum advertised pricing (MAP) is a policy manufacturers have recently placed into action. This policy forces any company that wants to advertise the manufacturers product to advertise it at the price the manufacturer sets. This policy is allowed because on June 28th of 2007 the Supreme Court ruled that is was not automatically unlawful for manufacturers and distributors to agree on minimum retail prices.

   To the consumer this means that prices advertised will be higher for any products that the manufacturer or distributor has set the price for but the price you have to pay for the product will be substantially less on most of these products.

   At Georgia Carpet Industries we strive to give our customers the best product at the best price. In cases where we have to advertise the MAP we will state the price is the minimum advertised price and to call or email us for a better price.
